Christine Miller is a life long fiber artist and retired art educator. Beginning when she was a child, she has experience with sewing, embroidery, knitting, crochet, basketry, felting, dyeing, and weaving. She has exhibited her work in juried venues around the country from the 80s until now.
With all of the processes she is adept at, it's at the loom that she feels most centered. With 45 years of weaving experience, the most exciting material she likes to weave with is wire. She has been weaving with wire for 25 years and uses the woven metal fabric to create fiber and wire sculptures.
Christine continues her other love of art education by giving presentations at schools about Fiber in the 21st century, with a STEAM application. She is available as a visiting artist and can tailor the art projects to meet the needs of the audience. And, she is able to teach art workshops and private lessons on a wide variety of fiber processes.
