The Goldmark Cultural Center’s Ruth Andres Gallery presents “Black April: The Fall of Saigon”, an exhibition of new sculptural and painting works by Goldmark artist Minh Nguyen.
The exhibition is on display from 4/14 to 5/4 with a closing reception on Saturday, 5/3, from 3pm - 5pm. The closing reception is a great opportunity to meet the artist and learn from him about his artwork and exhibition.
About the Exhibition
April 2025 marks 50 years to the month that Saigon, the capital of South Vietnam, fell to the hand of the North Vietnamese communists. In the aftermath, hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese people fled the country in search of freedom.
Minh Nguyen is one of the Boat People who escaped Vietnam by boat 45 years ago. This year he wants to share how he escaped, survived and came to America and treasure the freedom that America has offered.
Minh graduated from UT Austin as an Architect, and besides painting as hobby, he is also a realtor and a real estate Investor.
