Join us on Saturday 8/9 from 6pm - 8pm at the Goldmark Cultural Center’s Norman Brown Gallery for the opening reception of “Sözsuz Hikaye: The Kilim Speaks”, a solo exhibition of new fiber and ceramic works by Ukrainian artist Vasfie Abderafi, based on traditional Crimean Tatar cultural themes and Turkish kilim-rug textile designs.

Vasfie will present an artist talk about her work at 7:15pm during the reception. The reception will feature the serving of traditional Turkish coffee, and it will be an ideal time to meet the artist and learn from her about her artwork.

“Sözsuz Hikaye: The Kilim Speaks” is on display through 8/29.
