Join us at the Goldmark Cultural Center’s auditorium this Sunday at 6:00pm for a potluck dinner and welcome party for this year’s visiting international artist at the Goldmark Cultural Center!

During this event, we will be welcoming South Korean painter Sundoo Kim to the Goldmark artist community. Sundoo is well-known as an artist throughout Korea and the US, and his artwork has been exhibited internationally. He is a professor of visual arts at Chungang University in Seoul, and his work includes portraiture and Korean painting on traditional jangji paper.

Sundoo is the 2026 recipient of the Goldmark Cultural Center’s Anthony Okonofua International Artist Residency, and he will be a member of the Goldmark artist community for the next 3 weeks.

Sundoo will be presenting a series of art workshops and artist talks during the course of his residency to share his medium and process with us. His artwork will also be featured in a solo exhibition in our Ruth Andres Gallery.

This potluck dinner will be everyone’s first chance to meet Sundoo and welcome him to the Goldmark artist community and to Dallas! Bring a dish for the potluck and your appetite!

During the party, you can also enjoy chatting with your fellow Goldmark artists and catching up on all the latest with your own artwork and projects. Great opportunity to meet new Goldmark artists and reconnect with longtime members of our artist community.
