The Goldmark Cultural Center’s Ruth Andres Gallery presents “Quiet Fields”, a solo exhibition of new fine oil paintings by Goldmark artist Diane Min.

The exhibition is on display from 10/19 through 10/31 with an opening reception on Saturday 10/24 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. The reception is a great opportunity to meet the artist and learn from her about her artwork.

About the Exhibition

I paint the places I keep returning to, at least in my mind - a lake at dawn, a field of flowers, a quiet stretch of water. I’m not usually trying to capture an exact moment. I’m after the feeling of it - the stillness, the hush right before dusk, the particular kind of beauty that’s easy to miss if you’re moving too fast.

Life is too short to be rushed. It’s meant to be enjoyed, one moment at a time, wherever you are and whoever you’re with. That’s what these paintings are really about - slowing down long enough to notice. The way light shifts. The quiet of a field with no one else in it. How time seems to soften near water.

Some of these scenes are exactly as I remember them. Others came together from bits of memory and imagination, the way memory usually works - a little blurred at the edges, but true to how it felt.

I hope Quiet Fields gives you a moment to pause, too.

About the Artist: Diane Min

I am an oil painter whose artistic journey began during a period of personal recovery. What started as a way to heal gradually grew into a lasting commitment to art. Through painting, I found stability, purpose, and a renewed sense of direction.

I began working in acrylics, but over time I developed a deep connection with oil painting. Its richness and depth allowed me to express emotion in a way that felt natural and honest, and it has since become my primary medium.

My work focuses on landscapes, inspired by the joy and peace I find in nature. The natural world has been a steady source of comfort throughout my life, and I aim to capture that feeling in my paintings. Each piece reflects both my personal journey and my appreciation for the quiet beauty that surrounds us.
