Join us at the Goldmark Cultural Center’s Community Garden on the morning of Sunday 11/8 for a Community Garden Workday! After our latest Community Gardening Meeting, we have a plan for what to focus on in the coming weeks!
We will be tidying up, weeding, and preparing the Garden ahead of our winter planting. There are lots of disused plant containers and gardening items left over from last season that we will be rearranging or removing, and we will begin clearing space for the new planting.
We're also hoping to get some blooms started in preparation for the next Art Walk on December 5th and 6th.
Things to bring:
Gardening gloves
Any kind of gardening tools
Any extra pots you can spare that are in good condition, especially ceramic or clay pots
Seeds! We discussed planting peas, lettuce, radishes, beets, carrots, chives, and other varieties suitable for a winter harvest.
Stay for as much or as little of the workday as you can! We appreciate anyone who can contribute any amount of their time and enthusiasm!
